Hamilton I remember seeing the movie "Being There" which is discussed in this piece. I think that the author kind of misses a hidden point of the movie. In my mind the movie was kind of an infinite regress. The audience knows that Chance the gardiner is simple, and he is portrayed as being misunderstood by people who are too complex to understand him. But at the same time, his simplicity is wise.

Of course it's possible that the hidden intent of the paper is to present GWB in the same context, but it seems unlikely to me.
