My dad worked once upon a time building the Washington Metro. He almost got run down by a test train that wasn't supposed to be running.

Regarding the Metro, I mostly remember the dead guy on the floor of the train when we were leaving the Tibetan Freedom Festival. But it's a soft, surreal, dreamlike memory. Much less concrete than my distinct recollection of just how bad the Beastie Boys sucked ass at the concert.

I was talking about the B-boys with my brother Matt just recently. Apparently he saw them in concert last year and he thought it was great. All the things I thought sucked about the show he thought were funny. They couldn't even remember how their own songs went. They would do the first verse and then forget how the rest of the song went. He really liked it. I tended to agree that it sucked.
